Coastal Carolina University welcomes more than 3,000 new and transfer students to campus for the Fall 2018 semester.

Eleven University of Scranton students selected from a competitive pool to receive a stipend of up to $4,000 to ease the burden of accepting a meaningful unpaid scholarship. The program is funded by the philanthropy of the University's Parents' Executive Council and the donations of alumni and friends of the University.

University of Scranton students inducted into the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Honor Society. This organization recognizes students for academic achievement in the study of accounting who major in accounting, finance or information technology, have achieved junior status or higher in their undergraduate studies, have taken three or more accounting courses, and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher overall as well as in their accounting courses, among other criteria.

Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 2,600 students for excellence in academics on the Spring 2018 Dean's List. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its spring 2018 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Kutztown University has conferred degrees on more than 1,225 students during the winter and spring semesters. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish the requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honor distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80.

Muhlenberg College celebrated its 170th Commencement on May 18, 2018. During the ceremony, which was held on the College Green, 511 students were awarded their undergraduate degrees.

Thirty-five members of The University of Scranton's class of 2018 to graduate from its Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Honors Program (SJLA), which is one of Scranton's programs of excellence. Students in SJLA pursue a rigorous education designed to develop enhanced writing, oral and critical-thinking skills through specially designed courses in philosophy, theology and literature.

More than 2,000 high-achieving students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring semester at Northampton Community College. The honor is reserved for students who have completed a minimum of 6 credits and achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale in the spring 2018 semester.

A total of 1,621 students have been named to the Dean's List at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the Spring 2018 semester of the 2017-2018 academic year, according to Joanne Bruno, J.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs. Students eligible for the Dean's List are those who have attained a 3.50 quality point average or better and are enrolled full-time. The letter grade "B" earns 3 quality points per credit, and the grade "A" earns 4 quality points per credit.

Fifteen members of The University of Scranton's class of 2018 graduated from its Business Leadership Honors Program, which is one of Scranton's programs of excellence. Students in this highly-selective program explore the basic theories and concepts of leadership through special seminars and courses in management, ethics, strategy and analysis, in addition to field trips to learn from top executives and projects in leadership, service and mentoring.

Muhlenberg College encourages students in the natural and social sciences, arts and humanities to study overseas at quality institutions in Europe, Asia, Oceania, Latin America and Africa. By offering students a choice of over 100 approved programs, students engage in global enrichment while earning college credit towards their degree.

Elizabethtown (Pa.) College announced the names of students whose outstanding academic performances have earned them the recognition of being included on the spring 2018 dean's list. Students on the dean's list are full-time undergraduate students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.60 or better in 14 or more credit hours, of which at least 12 credits are letter-graded course work.
